COURSE SES 70E-010: ELECTRICAL SAFETY & ARC FLASH COMPLIANCE TRAINING, 8 Hour

Intended Audience: Electrical workers/technicians qualified and unqualified; front-line Supervisors, Operations and Project Managers, and Safety Administrators.
Course Overview: Personnel are introduced to the methods used to identify the shock and arc-flash ‘hazards ‘and ‘risks’ associated with electrical energy and discusses work practices to establish an electrically safe work condition. “Incident Energy” and “Limits of Approach”, as defined on equipment labels, are discussed along with guidance on selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and application of lockout/tag out (LOTO). Safety-related maintenance practices are addressed, along with appropriate means to document and communicate methods used to reduce the risk(s) of injury or damage to health from electrical hazards.
